Tamarind Chutney, Quick Simmer

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsptamarind concentrate or soaked pulp
  • 3 tbspjaggery or brown sugar
  • ½ tspcumin powder
  • ¼ tspred chili powderoptional
  • pinchsalt
  • ½ cupwater

Method

  1. Simmer all ingredients until glossy and coat-the-spoon thick.
  2. Cool completely. Stores refrigerated up to two weeks.
